The Gonzales Master Gardeners are pleased to host the first Master Gardener Plant Health and Diagnostics Educator Specialist training program. Chaired by Dr. Kevin Ong, Director of The Texas Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory and Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology & Microbiology, Texas A&M University, the course will offer an intensive training with a broad overview of plant health and diagnostics. The 2018 APS Southern Division Meeting will be held February 16-18, 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Many of the TPDDL staff will be in Arkansas, attending and representing the clinic and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service.

The TWGGA Annual Conference and Trade Show is the perfect opportunity to attend educational seminars, meet suppliers, enjoy Texas wine, and network, network, network! The conference will include educational tracks covering Viticulture, Enology, Legal, and Marketing as well as two days of Exhibitors demonstrating their products and services.

The Texas Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory will be closed Wednesday, March 14th thru Friday, March 16th for Spring Break. We will return to our normal business hours of Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm, March 19th, 2018. You can view the Texas A&M University system's holiday schedule here.

Some of the TPDDL personnel will be out providing plant health/quality training to our TDA inspectors.
