The Master Gardener Specialist First Detector-Plant Disease training introduces participants to the National Plant Diagnostic Network’s efforts to protect US agriculture and plants through awareness information of invasive, non-native pests and pathogens. Trainees will learn basic plant disease diagnostic skills and symptom documentation skills. This training prepares the Master Gardener Specialist to serve as a First (early) Detector.
This year’s training will be hosted by the Brazoria County Master Gardeners and highlight Citrus & Palm diseases.
